Sermon Notes
12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Colossians 2:12–15
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
So they called them and charged them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
Acts 4:18
for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.”
Acts 4:20
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 10:11
19 But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge,20 for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.”
Acts 4:19-20
going public with your faith isn’t just for Peter & John. It’s for you, right here, right now.
Baptism is your Public declaration—speaking up is your mission.
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12
